Where’s Jaspa? (June 8th, 2013)

As I’m sure you all knew, the destination from my last post (thanks to Phyllis for her stealth-blog yesterday, by the way) was Alcatraz. We spent a fascinating few hours on the Rock, although in many ways I wonder why we’re all so awestruck by a place that was a prison, after all. And a prison that held some very bad men.

We’ve done all sorts of fun and interesting things since arriving in San Francisco. We’ve travelled all over the city, and often our method of transportation was the whole point of the journey. In addition to Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge, we’ve visited as much of the City by the Bay as we could cram into three days. We even found our 5000th geocache here! Below are a few photos of some of the highlights.

No visit to San Francisco is complete without a ride on the outside of a cable car!

Sadly today was our last day in San Francisco. Tomorrow we head off to a new destination. Where? Come back next time and see if you can guess!
