I have to admit to still having a bit of a bounce in my step and a smile on my face today.
“Why are you feeling so pleased with yourself, Jaspa?” you might ask.
Well, it’s because my adventures were (quote) ‘Breaking News’ in Israel this past week… Literally!
This past Wednesday I wrote a blog about my visit to Haifa, Israel, a couple of years ago. The piece was called The Carmelit Underground (Haifa, Israel), the Carmelit being the subterranean railway that climbs up the inside of Mount Carmel. Little did I know when I posted it, that it would attract the attention of a local online newspaper, Haifa International, which reposted the article under the title, Jaspa travels by Carmelit!
OK, so it’s not quite the New York Times, but we all have to start somewhere. Personally, I don’t think I’ve felt this giddy since May 2009, when Jaspa’s Journey: The Great Migration was #2 on the Best Sellers list… according to the Telegraph-Journal, St John’s, New Brunswick!
Today Haifa, Tomorrow The World!
If you want to see why all of Haifa is a-buzz with talk of my travels, why not sign up and follow my continuing Journeys here at Jaspa’s Journal, or through my website, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram?
And if that’s not enough for you, there are now three Jaspa’s Journey novels to enjoy as ebooks! Perfect for Kids 8 – 80!
