Q: What’s outside the window of our hotel room?
A: Tartinijev Trg (Tartini Square) in Piran, Slovenia.
It’s mostly quiet now.
And from above, it’s just a window of light in darkness.

But roll back the clock through the evening and Tartinijev Trg becomes a place full of noise and activity.

Built in the late 19th Century on the filled-in site of Piran’s stagnant inner harbour, Tartinijev Trg was named In Memoriam of local violinist, Giuseppe Tartini.
Today it’s the beating heart of daily life in the town, where there’s always something happening, and it’s usually quite loud.
This post was inspired by the themes Noise from Ailsa (of Where’s My Backpack?), Window from Sue (of A Word In Your Ear), In Memoriam from Nancy (of Nancy Merrill Photography) and Humanity from Thirdeyemom (of the Daily Post).

Well spotted!
Beautiful! I love the night shots and then the daytime shots. So beautiful! 🙂
Thanks very much! Thanks for the challenge.
Piran is a lovely little city!
It really is. I would have like a bit more time there.
We have been there several time by boat and loved it!
Where did you catch the boat from?
We owned a small sail boat and explored this area.
Nice!
Awesome night light captures! The clarity is incredible, Jaspa! A beautiful town via your lens, love it.
Thanks, Amy! You’ll make me blush!
