The first time we visited Icy Strait Point, outside Hoonah in Alaska, we didn’t have time to try out the colossal, six-cable ZipRider zipline. When we returned last year, the very first thing we did was set this straight!

Look carefully and you can see the cables (each is 5495 feet long!)

The ZipRider launch station, 1320 feet above where we’re standing!

That’ll be us in a little while!

Up above the clouds

The launch platform, 1320 feet above the sea

Our turn next!

Lines into nothingness – although I can just about see the sea

Sue looks a little nervous 😉

We’re off!

Erm… where did our cables go?

The view’s not so great…

Through the clouds

I take it back about the view!

Almost down… can we go again?!

I love zips too, Na’ama. The best one I ever did was Superman style in Puerto Rico: https://jaspasjourney.wordpress.com/2014/09/21/zipping-around-the-world/
