Returning to places brimming with fond memories is always a joy. Especially around this time of year, with everywhere decorated for the holidays. For example, I think back to my time living in Weimar, Germany, with it’s wonderful Christmas market and Town Hall decorated as an advent calendar.
And I loved being in Hawaii at holiday time. I mean palm trees, beautiful weather and Christmas decorations (including countless snowflakes) took a little getting used to!

Yet one of my favourite places to revisit is London, at any time of year. There are a couple of reasons for this. Firstly, I spent 4 fun years living there, while at university. Secondly – and I’m sure this reason is obvious to anyone familiar with Jaspa’s Journey – book #2, The Pride of London is set there!
And in the week before Christmas, Jaspa and I will be returning to London once again. But this time, we’re going to do things a little differently. We’re going to take a stroll down Memory Lane, and retrace some of his steps from the Pride of London.

Over 3 days, we hope to revisit as many of the important locations from the book as we can fit in. And just like the book, our wanderings are going to take us to some really well known places, as well as some less familiar sites.
I will say that I really hope we make it back to the place where Jaspa’s adventures in London began properly. And also the part of London named after the city where book #5 takes place.

Other than that, I don’t want to spoil the surprise by saying too much. But you can follow along on Jaspa’s social media, to see where we get to.
In the meantime, I wish you a joyful holiday season, and look forward to a New Year full of new journeys for Jaspa.
